As King David approached death’s doorway he knew that he needed to pass on words of wisdom and instruction to his son and successor, Solomon. David had lived a full life. He fought and battled enemies within and without. He loved passionately, deeply and sometimes wrongly. He was known as a man of tears and prayers on one hand and a man of unsurpassed bravery and confidence on the other.
